I previously published an article about the new definition of winning – “Being better than you were, not better than other.”https://lnkd.in/ebvtj5E. As I was listening to a 1967 Beatles song, “Getting Better”, I thought how the lyrics are in tune with my message of never comparing with anyone else to determine how well you are doing in life: “It’s getting better all the time.” The words of Paul and John are autobiographical revealing past behaviors. What is important to my message is they are comparing how they are, to how they were in the past. They are not comparing to anyone else. Since each of us is unique, never comparing ourselves to another is a happier, less stressful, and more satisfying way to live.
